Samplers, Sonar, and Reason

Hi, I'm very new and also very stupid when it comes to Home recording. It's almost as hard as learning to speak Czech. But anyways I was wondering, since Sonar 4 is a $900 program (that's not what i paid of course) it seems like it should have some sort of sampler other than cyclone. Does it? Does Reason 3? If so are they of decent quality? If not, then what sampler would you recommend?

Thanks,

I like Vsampler too, www.vsampler.com but saying that you have a hard time understanding recording, I'm not sure.

    1. If you are to buy different sample cds in different formats, and use in recording, I think Vsampler is good moneys worth.
    2. If you have your own samples you need to map, and build your own instruments completely, maybe not Vsampler.
    Documentation is not quite complete.

I have used the included VSampler and the NN-XT in Reason. I personally like the NN-XT better. Perhaps it's the real world metaphor that is Reason's GUI. Somehow, everything is easier for me to do within Reason...

So do you mean the Vsampler is compatible with Sonar4 or that it's included with Sonar4? If its included, how do you access it?

    thanks

It's not included in S4. Like any other plugin, it works fine in S4 if that's what you mean by compatible.
