Vinyl AC '97

I think I have a Vinyl AC 97 sound card? I am not sure , is this a bad card, is this why I am having troubles with my music creator? I have a MSI KM4M Motherboard with a AMD processor, and 512 mb of Ram, I just cannot get any music that I import to play more than a second.

    It is not a music recording card, and is typically problematic, having said that it should playback music, I assume that the problem is in setup, please find the tutorial setup for beginners and follow it to a Tee
