rewire p5v2 to acid pro 4.0?

The tutorial says to go to the options /preferences /rewire device
hmm this tab is missing in my acid 4.0 pro
scratch chin >wonder?
the vst tab is there but no rewire tab
any help will be appreciated

    hey James, welcome to the forum...

    I have not used acid in ages (the drug or the program), so i am hesitant to comment on the rewire capabilities of version 4. If I remember correctly, (and someone might correct me on this) Acid pro 4 is not a ReWire host; only a client. P5v2 on the other hand IS a host so you would have to open it first and then start acid from p5's rewire menu? Check it out: open a blank project and add a new instrument track. Under the dxi & vst Instruments header should be a list of all your synths( including rewire clients).HTH

    Actually, Acid 4 could only host. If P5 can be either, then you should see it in Acid 4's ReWire menu. One of the main reasons I upgraded to Acid 5 was because it could act as both a host and a client - which now means I can ReWire it to Sonar.

    You need to have at least the 4.0c update installed. Here's a link to the 4.0f free update, along with the release notes.
