3.1.1 system wipe out q

hello all, any help would be great. if i write zero's to my drives but back up my audio folder and picture cache folder on a separate external hd, then i can re open my current projects on the newly zeroed and configured hd's right? with automation and all exactly the same as it is now? and for the fx settings i need to use the plugin manager?

    Very risky!

    Save all your projects as CWB files and save those to CD or DVD and you may be safe.

    But don't blame me if you lose anything.

    Why are you doing that?

    Well…this is my school computer, occasional gaming computer, internet computer, and DAW computer. I like to wipe it every 6 months to keep it in shape otherwise it really starts to get bogged down.
