Please help with Recording

I can't get the other tracks to not record the previous tracks as well as the new instrument added. For instance track 1 is drums track 2 I'll record guitar but it records my previous drum track also. And track 3 record the 2 tracks before it and so on and so on. Does anyone know how to solve this problem. PLEASE

Go to your soundcard mixer (start>programs>accessories>entertainment>volume control on windows XP), go to options and change the volumes from playback to recording, then change your recording source from "all" or "what u hear" to "mic/line". Let me know if it worked.

Also, make sure you turn off the "R" button on the previous tracks.

Also inside MC under options/audio find input monitoring, and unhighlight anything in the box
