bit rate conversion
hiya friends. i've got a question and here's my situation.
i just did a guitar/bass/drum trio recording at a studio. i'm really happy with the recording and i got to hear the famous neve pre's for the first time(cool!) so i really want to get a good mix. a perfect mix.
i've been going in and out of the studio, trying to get it all mixed and done over there but at the rate we're moving, it looks like it'll take a lot longer and thus much more costly.
so i think i'm just going to take on the job myself as i have some experience.
so here's the question. the recording was done on a mac at 24/48. the engineer told me he could convert them into wav. files so my pc could read'em. so i intend to do the mix at 24/48. now when i'm done, i can just export the mix and the HS can convert them into 16/44.1, right? so i can burn cd's, etc.
another crucial thing is, can i burn the mix onto a 24/48 data file cd to take to a mastering engineer?
thanks for reading and thanks in advance for your suggestions and insight.
