Notation 'auto fills'

Hey again

It's your friendly Groucho with just one more problem.

When I manually plug individual notes into the Staff View, the measure often 'auto fills' with notes that I didn't intend. They seem to be based on some previous notation from earlier measures.

It's really annoying and I find myself spending as much time deleting the unwanted notes as I do entering the new ones.

I'm mystified and have found no fix for it.

Anyone know anything about this?

Thanks

It might be the way you have the editor set up. Go to the "Options" pulldown and click on "Global..."

A "Global Options" window will pop-up. Click on the "Editing" tab and set the preferences the way you want them there. While you're at it, you might want to click on the "Ask Every Time" box.

That has a lot to do with placement, make sure that you are placing the notes in the right timing, slide them around and it will start to make sense, and also keep adding notes and it starts to get easier.
