Why don't you remember me?

When ever I login - I check the 'save as cookie' box, my profile is set to save my info as a cookie, my browser is set to accept cookies, etc. etc. but everytime you treat me like a stranger....

My heart is breaking, I'm confused. You sibling www.project5.com remembers me. Did I offend you in a previous life?
What must I do to gain your favor?
I patiently await your reply[sm=rolleyes.gif]

I've noticed that whenever I've logged into the P5 website, and then come here from there, I will have been signed out here. Perhaps this is the same thing happening to you. I've sent e-mail to the web masters concerning this but it still happens to me so they apparently haven't done anything about it.

No matter how I get here, I always have to manually log in.
I have the same issue whether I use Firefox or MS Intenet Explorer.
I just changed my password from the cyptic one Cakewalk gave me when I forgot the one I had originaly used, so at least its easier logging it. But it would be nice if....

The only other possibility is that you're blocking and/or deleting cookies. Cakewalk's cookie needs to stay on your system in order to keep you logged in, so it would have to be that you're killing it somehow.

Not sure what's going on, I tried on another system and had the same results.
Since I changed my password, its not as a big a pain as it was. But it would be nice to get it resolved. Since no one else seems to be having the same problem, its probably something on my end.

    Thanks for the input.

While I dont know the answer to this mystery, I can say that the same has been happening to me.
However, for some reason, the site is now remembering me again -- I was several weeks having to log in each time.
Seems to be fine now, and I don't recall making any changes to my system, browser or cookie jar!

This happened to me for a long time, and it was frustrating. I fixed it by going to my cookies folder and deleting the appropriate cookie (it should be obvious), then logging in here again and saving a new cookie. For some reason, simply saving a new cookie on top of the old one didn't work for me. Delete the existing one, then it should work.

This also happened to me when i just started coming here. It went on 4 a few weeks then it suddenly stopped and its been fine ever since. Mind you, that was around the same time that we uninstalled the silly little 'block-everything-but-the-words-unless-you-disable-me' popup blocker and internet security program. Maybe you're running a security program or firewall which wont allow it?
