Updates: cumulative, or?

This just occurs to me because I'm about to go on a three month tour and I have never skipped an update! So, do newer updates encompass the prior ones now that we're on a monthly-esque model, or do I have to install sequentially because updates are feature specific?

Totally cumulative. you can skip an update if you wish. I certainly have done so, in the past.
