Locking Tracks

Is there a way to Lock a trak or traks so as not to alter or accidently delete them?

Not that I've found using Pro Audio. Even "archiving" them does not protect them from deletions.

Archiving tracks (select "tracks" in upper menu and click "archive") keeps them out of harm's way, but you won't hear them in playback--they're tucked away in the archive. It's a useful thing for filing away extra audio tracks that you don't currently need in a project, but may need later on.

That's probably not what you had in mind though with your question. I used to have trouble accidently deleting tracks also and so sympathize. That never happens to me anymore because I've simply gotten in the habit of making SUre that only one track is selected before I right click and delete a track--Click the track number at the far left in the list, it turns black (highlighted), and make sure you haven't managed to select other tracks at the same time.

Dang, Larry, you're right--Even archived tracks can be accidently deleted. Well, one just Has to make sure only one track is black highlighted on the far left. Once you get used to double checking, it works---I haven't lost something by accident like that for at least a year.
