Hi, I got original CD with Guitar tracks 2, and I have Registered myself, fot getting an unlock code...but I did This couple days ago and also today a still I haven't recieved any e-mail with the code...can somebody help me, please...???

I got my code with the CD package. There was a yellow sticker on the CD case from memory. Do you have to email away for it these days? I got mine 2 or 3 years ago.

no, I haven't bought it like a normal software...it was attached to the guitar processor. There's no sticker with code or something like that...

hmmm. Usually the bundled ones don't require you to register as they are typically "lite" versions.

Oh right, then yeah, it sounds like it's a trial version and not the full deal. GTP2 is pretty cheap anyway, and it's good too.

I also have Guitar Tracks 2 that came bundled with a guitar processer, Johnson J-Station.
Once I installed it, I was surprised to see it was a trial version, when it wasn't suppossed to be. There was no unlock code, so I called cakewalk. The gave me an unlock code that worked....no problems....yet. A year or so later, I had to do a complete re-install of windows 98. When I went to reinstall it, I forgot I'd have to go through the unlock code thing again, and I couldnt find it. I called Cakewalk again, and they gave me another code: 81353KADF
I tried it, and it didn't work! I called back and was told that "this works on all trial versions for GT2, and that's all we have. Why don't you buy a newer Calkwalk program, we don't support your version anymore" blah blah blah.
I told the guy that I should be able to use what I paid for, and I was fine using that version. (I was talking to a brick.)
I'm not happy with their customer service, that's for sure.
Anyway try this code....maybe it'l work on yours!

Cakewalk is the reason I purchased the full version of GTP. Cakewalk and Gigastudio came bundled with my Tascam US-122. What a waste they were. For the price, buy the full version or look into Home Studio.

The bundled versions of cakewalk and gigastudio...They were lite versions so they had less features/tracks/etc. The worse thing with a lot of bundled versions of software is that they don't always qualify as "previous" versions when you try to upgrade. So, if a new version of Guitar Tracks came out, you might have to buy the full version instead of just the upgrade version....This isn't always the case...but just something to be aware of.

I dont think thats 100% right, PCmodeler - i had a "bundled" LE version. (came w/a pedal) I wanted the full funtionality; so I called and asked where i stood -found out altho I DIDN'T qualify for the full registered "GT customer" price - did qualify for the regular "registered" customer price. Its just a coupla bux more, but definitely not the full new 'sticker' price. which i thought was fair. If u get any S-ware bundled w/other things u gotta know that you are not getting the FULL version. Do u know what I mean? I had a good experience -sorry that u didnt ITTO
