no audio after 'Bounce to Tracks'

Dudes:

I have the AKAI CD loaded and my source track pointing to VSampler, the source and output tracks are selected and I Bounce to Tracks.

The machine does a lot of work 'Mixing down Audio' to the new track but at the end there's nothing there except an audio clip containing a flat line.

What have I missed?

    What's the AKAI CD for? Doesn't have anything to do with your problem.

    Did you install the 4.0.3 patch update? I'm curious. I did, and a project with VS3 in it will not produce any audio whatsoever unless I insert a new instance of VS3. I suspect that these things may be related. Are you working in SONAR4.0.3 with a file that was created in SONAR4.0.2?

    Hmm, I discovered that it's 4.0.1 so I'll patch up and post the result.

    I patched to 4.0.3 and nothing changed.

    Sometimes I get audio but if I change the instrument selection in VSampler and regenerate the audio I might get nothing at all. When returning to VSampler after working in Sonar, I sometimes find the keys no longer sound the samples.

    I've been reading about VSampler 3.5.2 and people have found a lot of bugs so it's probably the sampler.
