Wuikstation V2 multi-timbral operation??

Hi

I'm running Wusikstation V2 big package under Project 5 V2.01 on a Windows XP system SP2.

I've loaded the multi-out version of Wusikstation. I then create three track layers under the track that contains Wusikstation.

I select 'Send to Midi Channel' 1,2 and 3 respectively for the three track layers. The input for the track layers is also set to Channel 1,2 and 3.

In wusikstation I select three different presets. On each one I set the Multi-timbral options on the configuration page to 1, 2 or 3 according to the mapping on the track layers.

when I hit play, what I get is all three patterns on three track layers being played by the same wusikstation preset, in other words it is not behaving in a multi-timbral manner.

Has anyone any clue what I've missed?

Thanks

Not sure if the outputs are still Bypassed (only output one is enabled by default), or if you have the MIDI Override button in the track engaged.

Make sure that each midi pattern has the correct midi channel selected...I ran into a similar problem with a different synth. If you double click each midi pattern so it opens at the bottom of the screen, you will see a drop down box with a midi channel setting, which is usually on Omni, change it to the appropriate channel number and it should work fine...

xylyx - thanks for the tip. But, isn't that what the 'send to Midi Channel...' setting in the track inspector is for. Doesn't it send all output on that track to the selected midi channel whatever it may say in the pattern settings?

Also brock - thanks also, all outputs are enabled and the midi override is definately off.

    Thanks for the responses folks

That's what I always thought, but when I tried a multitimbral VST out (Microtonic 2 I think it was) I found that unless I set the midi channel in the pattern, then it would not send the info to the channels I wanted...it may be an issue with the layer facility in P5...
