Wave forms?

Maybe you know? Ok, the wave forms that appears in the track veiw after a recording is finished. What is the criteria that makes the forms different. I've had voice demos prepared at pro studios and have made an observation. When I import a demo into HS I see these dramatic and long wave forms. Transversly, when I record my own demo on HS I end up with rather skinny, short wave forms. Any tips I may include on my next project or is this critical. Thank you.

It is just the zoom scales. You can adjust on + or - on the bottom
PS: What would you be worrying about waveforms? I think you should be looking at the sound and mix quality in your projects.

Oh, thats it eh. Good news. I thought it was going to be brain surgery again. Interesting. Thank you Boten. I was concerned that I had the levels set wrong but the sound was pretty good.

Including yourself Boten, all the "forum elders" have been very helpful and I just want to say thanks for that.

    Cheers Avro

I was just observing and noticed that the forms were dramatic form a pro studio and assumed that I was missing some frequency responce or something. Your right though, I should be concerned with how it sounds. I liken it to cooking with a recipe. You can measure all the ingredients and what not, but if it don't taste good you have to tweak.
