cakewalk projects will not open

pyro 2004 will not allow me to open projects that i have worked on and saved.

never had this problem before, i have opened these same projects only weeks ago on this same computer. now, nothing but a error message that says some of the files could not be opened.

VERY VERY frustrated.

someone, anyone, help. please.

sounds like you've moved the project file or one or more of the source files... try moving 'em back? (sorry... not much help I realize)

I did in fact move the files, but just to a pyro project specific folder so they would be easier to locate.

i will try to remember their original location and move them back.

yeah... that's the best bet... kinda sucks but so it goes.

going forward, you might want to keep your pyro projects in one location... though even that won't guarantee things will be ace... but at least then all you'll have to worry about are the source files.

If you haven't made extensive edits, you could start a new project and then locate the wav file on your computer and 'add' it into the new project. If you've made any edits, they'll have to be done over again, but at least you won't have to read the source back into the computer.

Open the CWA file in Windows by holding down shift and right-clicking. Now choose Open With.. Use Notepad to open it. Make sure all of the file paths that are listed are still current.
