Sound is Very Low

I recorded a short test track on guitar (lead and rhythm), converted it to a .wav file and emailed it to a friend. She said she could barely hear it, and had to turn her speakers all the way up and even then it was still faint. I have my recording volume up all the way, and nothing's muted or anything. And I know the problem isn't at her end because she's a wiz with PC's. What do I do?

    what's your setup?

May need a pre to boost your signal a bit if you're going direct into an onboard/stock sound card. Otherwise, during .wav export did you uncheck anything? How did the .wav sound on your system after export?
