Don't you have a way of recording your own!? It's a lot easier than trying to record your own ocean surf...I mean EVERYONE has a clock, right?

You could grab something from the intro to PF's "Time". Or "60 Minutes".

it's temporarily down (it will probably be up by the time you read this), but the freesounds project is a great source for 100% free and 100% legal samples uploaded from lots of people. there is a great ticking grandfather clock recording, as well as quite a few audiophile type acoustic recordings.

    best luck

of course we all have clocks, and I am always one to sample my own material but you know what, not all of us have the luxory of having an old fashion ticking clock, the majority of us have DIGITAL clocks, at least the people i know.

You are welcome. I hunted around the house and found a wall clock (most are digital but we've got this one little clock that is 'analog style'). I sampled it in Sound Forge and then did some tricks to bring the level up but keep the noise down because the clock has such a light sound. I then added an extremely small amount of reverb to mask some of the noise that I could not get rid of easily. The sample has only a single tick and a single tock and is 2 seconds long (go figure ).
