While Kinetic's User manual is not very deep, it is more than enough to get you started, especially the tutorial section. You must learn first how to select patterns and patches, build grooves, mix them, and arrange them into a song.

After that, there are lots of stuff to learn:

    1) Some basic music theory (basic scales and chords) always helps.
    2) Learn to use the different effects: filters, delays, eq, compression, etc.
    3) Learn how to program synthesizers (PSYN).
    4) Learn how to mix and master your songs.

Does your Casio keyboard have MIDI output? If so, you can use it to play the sounds in Kinetic, but you may need a USB MIDI interface for your computer and a MIDI cable.

Lots of gear. Not enough time.

I'm pretty new to Kinetic but I'm almost positive you cant sample into kinetic.

However, instrumentation you make in Kinetic can be renderedto a .WAV file and then mixed with one of your samples, in a seperate mixing application such as Pro Tools or Acid.

Mastering your bass at a higher level might help the thin bass syndrome as well as doubling up bass strips in the your Groove panel.
