DXi registration

I'm trying to register a DXi using regsvr32 "path\name.dll" in XP. I don't get an error, but I don't get a confirmation either. MCP doesn't show the DXi instrument in the list. I did this once successfully on a computer that is now dead. I thought I did it using regsvr32, but maybe not. Any suggestions?

    I never had to do that, I just installed the DXis and MC found it when i started up.
