Home Studio v.2 Audio Driver Error message

I have just loaded Home Studio v.2 and cannot get audio - even the tutorial audio will not play. I am also getting a message : Audio Driver Error - The following drivers either do not support the current audio format or are in use by another application:

Intel r Integrated Audio 1/2
Intel r Integrated Audio 3/4
Intel r Integrated Audio 5/6

What do I need to do to get audio output?
Thanks.
Rick

Try using the MME-32 driver mode under audio options instead of default, or try ASIO4ALL (as free download)

I have the same problem you do but I get the same error message on music creator and think I have a solution for it, but I am at work and cant work on my problem here, but if you would like I will give you the problem solver and you can reply back to me and let me know how it went, so I could be sure it works when I get home and do this myself...let me know

MME will not support VSC, WDM/KS will, If you run into a wall call Tech support. Had the same problem about a year ago, they walked me thru it so fast made my head spin! Still dont know everything he had me do, but I was up and recording.

MME will not support VSC, WDM/KS will,

The Edirol VSC works fine in any mode, as does any softsynth.

However, MME mode has greater soundcard latency, which may make it difficult to record. The way around this is to use the built-in sounds on your synth while recording, then when you are done recording, switch the output of the MIDI track to the softsynth to get the desired sound in your mix.
