Pause????

Someone please explain to me how to pause during a recording of voice only? I hit the stop button or click off record and it indeed stops it, however then I have all the clicking in the background of the starting and stopping. How can I just simply pause for a minute and get my breath or whatever without having all the clicking noise in the background??? Is it possible?

    Try punch in recording.

    Personally, you shouldn't be getting any clicking from turning the recorder on and off - unless you are turning on/off while speaking. You should be able to stop recording, catch your breath, then start recording again without any noise. Please tell us more about what you're doing and some computer info (chip, ram, soundcard).

    How close is your mike to your mouse? "Click!"

    How sensitive is your Mike?

    Do you get the same click between recordings of audio? - Probably not.

    Let it record past where you want to pause, then stop it. Move the 'now' line to where you actually stopped singing. Right click on the track. Choose 'split'. Then right click on the noisy, unnecessary part and choose 'delete'. Then start recording again when you've caught your breath. The noisy part will be gone. Greg
