db range recording levels

Hi,
Does anyone know or know of a website that can give me information about db range recording levels for: vocals, guitar, bass, drums, etc.? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

There are no specific guidlines. Ideally you want the largest peak to be as close to 0dBFS as possible with any source.

Record in 24bit depth if possible and keep the largest peak of the track anywhere from say -12dB to <0. If your stuck at 16bit recording, spend time to get the peak recording level as close to 0dBFS as possible.
