2 soundcards

I recently installed an Audiophyle 24/96 for recording but still have an Audigy 2 in the computer for other uses. I've set up the 24/96 as my recording and audio playback card but everytime I open GT3 to start a new project all the channels are set for output to the Audigy and I have to manually change each channels output device to the 24/96. Is there a way to make the 24/96 the default output device for all projects so I don't have to change each channel manually on every new project.

I really don't know the answer to your question, but I have a few things you might try...

    1) in Cakewalk>options>audio>drivers, try disabling the Audigy.

    2) In Windows Control Panel>Sound and Audio Devices>Audio tab, try setting the Audophyle as the default device if it is not already.

    3) Try deleting all those pesky .ini files in the cakewalk directory and restarting Cakewalk.

G'luck, and let us know what eventually makes it work correctly.

OK, I finally figured it out. I went in to the option-audio-drivers page and disabled all the output drivers but the Audiophyle 24/96 1/2 drivers and it fixed the problem. Thanks for the tips.
