Here is a link to a drum sample player for about $30.

    http://www.leafdigital.com/software/leafdrums/

Another Sonar user on here help show me that link, plus there are some pretty good samples on that page too, if you follow a few of the other links.

I don't have a sampler either, but I have been using Cyclone to fake it. Usually 2 instances of it at once, and I fill up all the pads with different velocites of whatever I want. Then I just trigger them in Sonar. Here are the drum sounds I am using right now:

But I want to get DR-008 or something similar, maybe BFD would be cool too.

    Hope this helps!

I think a copy of DR005 or something comes free on the DVD with Computer Music Mag each month ..check before you buy the mag.... although the DVD is chocco full of stuff.

even had a 16bit only limited and limited by number of kits version of BFD for free on a DVD

You missed that one (unless they put it on next mag etc)

     Yes.

Not sure if you saw this already, but I found this yesterday:

    http://www.kvraudio.com/get/25.html

It's the DR-005, now available for free. I am going to try it out today.

I use DR-008 and it's the best drum sample program I've ever used. It has everything I'm looking for. I can create my own samples and put them in there, or use other peoples'.
