RME card for cheap. It's new! Should I buy it?

This is supposed to be a really good card. Looks like it comes with the breakout box too. I can't believe he's selling it so cheap. Should I buy it?

I have a 9652 from RME. It's not a reccomended card by Cakewalk and there was an ASIO fix from RME for S3.

However - in S4 the problem was totally solved and I LOVE my RME. It sounds lightyears better than my 2408mkiii and also never has the wierd 'device won't start' messages that appeared randomly with BOTH my 2408mkii/324 2408mkii/424 and 2408mkiii/424.

You are saving money here - a new Multiface (first generation - which this one is) is $649 and the PCI card is around $269.

The Multiface has been updated to the Multiface II (around $699 street + PCI card at $269) and is scheduled to ship later this month (Sept. 05). No one can tell me how it sounds compared to this one, 'cause no one has heard it...that I've spoken to. How are the Multiface II converters, say compared to the Fireface 800?

    Regards,

    Sonar 8.3.1, Core 2 Quad Q9300, 4 GB DDR2 ram, 4 X 500 GB Sata II 32 mb drives, Lynx Aurora 16, RME FF800, 2XUAD-1 PCIe

I use PE 3.1.1, bought a Multiface & PCI card a few months ago as an upgrade from M-Audio Audiophile 2496........night & day. I got very respectable results from the Audiophile, but the detail I hear through the RME is astounding. FWIW, I haven't had any issues using the Multiface with S3.
