EMU/Behringer Pro-8 vs. PreSonus Firepod?

For live analog playback of multi-channel digital audio:

A) EMU 1212 ADAT soundcard to Behringer Utragain Pro-8 (8 channels of outputs)

vs.

B) Firewire to the PreSonus Firepod Interface (10 outs)

Will also be recording analog as well.

Thanks for your valued feedback!

If you have another recommendation that will keep me around $500, I'm open to suggestions.

    Thanks!

The PreSonus Firepod for that application. That way it's all in one box and you don't have to use ADAT optical. That's just another point of failure and a non error checking digital audio one at that. "A" would also limit you to 48k playback max. No contest.

    Personally,

I'll never use Behringer equipment, distorts too easy.

I'm not a huge fan of Behringer, but I can say with certainty that the Pro-8 ADA8000 does not distort unless you clip the A/Ds.
