Adding MIDI channels

Would appreciate any help with the following:

How can I assign more than 16 midi channels when using two DXI synths. I need 24 or 32

You get 16 channels to each DXi (assuming it is multitimbral, which I'm getting that you need "more" than 16 that you already know how to get 16). So if you launch another instance of the same DXi, there's another 16 channels. At the track view on the track in question, you can assign the port to be either of the two instances of the plugin, and the channel according to where you have the sound strored within that plugin instance. So, you have two tracks set to use channel one, but they are pointing to different instruments, so only the instrument assigned as the output port on that track will see the data destined for that iteration of channel 1.

    It's simpler in practice!

    I'll try for simple :

    • insert DXI: you get channels 1-16 on MIDI port DXi-1
    • insert same DXi again: you again get channels 1-16 on MIDI port DXi-2
    • Total channel count: 32
