(SONAR 4) The record button wont show up

I just got this program and I can't get it to work!! The Record button wont light up (when I click on it nothing happens) what could be the problem?

    Have you armed a track for recording?

    Nightmare, you need to chill dude! Hit the R button on the track you want to record and then hit the record button on the transport. This allows you to record on multiple tracks simultanteously. Whichever tracks are armed (R) you can record on them.

    You need to set up a track to record on, and tell Sonar what input to record. It's not difficult, but this is powerful and complex software. There are some really good tutorials in the manual. Try and go through them step-by-step and you'll save yourself a lot of headaches.

    Did you get a manual with it? I can give you a page number to look at.
