Clip specific effects in Sonar 5.

Hi .. I have a question about the effect rack within an audioclip feature introduced in Sonar 5.
is the effect rack "loaded" or "on" during playback of the clip in question only? or is it "on" constantly even though the clip using these effects isn't playing ?

if it would "unload" the effects during the time when they're not needed .. this would be a TOTAL pwnage !! :)

    I believe cake stated somewhere that the effect isn't unloaded as the PDC needs to take everything into account - and also you could click on the timeline back to that part of the songs at anytime (without a gap i might add). Most plugins will go into cpu saving mode anyway when they're being fed silence.

    If you're looking to save cpu then freeze the clip.

    well then I truly don't get the point of clip specific effects :) .. why not save CPU and just do a ton of audio tracks with the effects loaded into the track fx bin ?

    ..but is it 20 - 40% better ?
