Sonar 3.11 audio sync?

I don't know if it is possible, but,,can Sonar 311, be synced to start recording, once an audio signal is inputed?
If so,,than please school me on how to acheive this task.

I know I can have it sync to my midi controler, but how might I do this if all I wanted to do is record audio tracks?

TIA

I'm afraid that's a no, Sonar doesn't have that ability in any version, nor does any other Multitrack program, as far as I know.

MTC or SMPTE are best used to sync SONAR with other gear, if that's partly what you're hoping to do, but there's no way to make the program behave like a voice activated recorder.

That is unless there's perhaps, some sort of plug-in out there which serves to bring its host that capability. You could set up a gate to bar out certain levels of audio, creating silences, but that's about it.
