Speed track up?

Can a person speed up a track? Lets say you had a spoken voice track that was read as fast as humanly possible. It timed out at 35 seconds and you only have 30 seconds available. Is this a pipe dream or should I get my old reel to reel out and do it by hand; just kidding of course...

Cheers, Avro

You and a math book (or trial and error should be able to use groove clips to approximate shortening a track. I don't know how it would sound - it is program dependent.

sony's Sound Forge and other stereo audio editors do a nice job for the above. You might want to try out the light version of SF - it should do time stretching for about $80. Or Fruity Loops - it has a real nice time stretch feature (along with a lot of other features besides DAW aspects).

Convert it into a groove clip and increase the tempo.
