external midi problem

when I play a note in the keyboard it take 1/3 of a seccond to hear it in CW. could you help me??

    Latency - the time it takes HS to process your soundcard's sound. Option>Audio>General has a slider to adjust the latency. Depending upon your card, you should be able to get down to 6 milliseconds or less. Too high, and you get too big of a dely, too low and your sound breaks up.

    You might need a better card - you don't mention what you have. Most built-in cards aren't up to semi-pro standards, much less pro standards. Welcome to the expensive hobby of home recording.
