recording vocals

now that i have my audio recorded on a audio track.
How do I record the vocals on track 2 with out it recording track 1 at the same time. What buttons do i press. HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!

You can easily correct such things by simply choosing edit, found on the right side of your post.
