Trouble!

I tried everything but i still cant play Things NOT EVEN THE TUTORIAL! who can help me with this problem.. it is the Sonar version 4

i have a 5.1 sound system can that be the problem?

    What sound card are you using? Which drivers are you using? (MME, WDM, ASIO)

    Sonar 4.0.0 or Sonar4.0.2??

    The first tutorials are MIDI only; you'll need to either use a GM hardware synthesizer or insert a DXi soft synth to hear anything. Unfortunately, this isn't explained before Tutorial #8. Do that first and you'll be fine.
