Recording Problems

Equipment:
Preamp: Behringer Eurorack UB802
Soundcard: Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum
Instrument: Electric Guitar
Microphone: MXL 770

Ok i've got my Guitar hooked up to the preamp and then preamp running to the soundcard.
This setup works fine and records clearly in Adobe Audition, but i'm really interested in seeing the capabilities of Sonar 4. (If any of you out there use Adobe Audition... how would you compare the two?)

Anywho back to the task at hand... Basically when I record with SOnar 4 and play I get digital distortion... i can't seem to figure out why. Any Ideas?

    Make sure that the Sample Rate/Bit Depth in the Audigy matches in S4.
