M-Audio Ozonic problem.

Hey all.

I´ve just purchased The Ozonic (audio interface keyboard), but I gotta a few problems:

1) I should be able to plug in my guitar to the input port of the keyboard, and there by be able to record guitar into Project5, but I can´t figure out how to do it.
I can choose between two midi input devices:

1) Port 1 (Ozonic Keyboard midi)
2) Port 2 (Ozonic external midi)

And I guess that the external midi is my guitar? But it doesn´t work. What can I do wrong?

And my second problem is:
To prevent high Latency, I wanna use the ASIO to my output, but when I choose ASIO, the sound almost disappears! ... I can almost not hear it.

Thanks.

/Daniel

    Hello,

The MIDI devices are for inputs from a MIDI controller - Port 1 being the keyboard of the ozonic, and Port 2 being the ozonic's MIDI input port (the 5 pin DIN connector on the back of the ozonic, I'd guess).

The guitar will come in via the audio input (not a MIDI input - MIDI and digital audio are quite different beasts), which should show up as an input driver in the audio options dialog box, which is where you've been looking to set up your ASIO drivers already.

As for the sound levels with the ASIO drivers, there's an option marked 'Justify' in the audio options dialog - try different settings for this, one of them will give you full volume when using the 24 bit drivers. We've all fallen prey to this one from time to time.

Hope this is helpful (and welcome to the forum)
