Can anyone confirm if cpu l2 cache affects ASIO performance?

In terms of ASIO performance, will 1Mb of cache make the difference compared to 512K? Who knows?

I'm trying to decide between a 512k A64 and a 1Mb A64, same mhz, but I don't know if it i'll be worth the extra $$$ to have more 512k.

Thanks.

I just ordered the Athlon 64 3700+ (San Diego, 1mb). I was between that and 3500+ (venice, 512kb), but as I heard that the 1mb cache does make a big difference with soft synths especially on low latencies, I desiced to go with the 3700+.

Yes. go for the 1mb L2 for any audio situation.
It will give you more power with plugins and softsynths.
