MIDI Quantize Effect issues

Instead of moving the notes to the right location, it simply ignores, or won't play some of them. When I delete the effect, I can then hear everything (unquantized).

Is there a way to improve the performance of midi effects? Are there any good 3rd party midi fx plugins out there? Like most ex-drum machine users, I just want to exist in a quantized world.

Stop-click-highlight-ctrl-shift-q-enter is a bit cumbersome for us.

I have the midi fx quantize 1/16th as a part of my template and was wondering if there is a way to make it work more reliably.
