OT: Good Graphic Design Plugins

Anyone know any good effects you can buy for Fireworks/photo shop.

For :10: I don't know if Corel works the same but you get this great white glossy fuzz over things. How do you do that?

Photopaint also utilizes PS-compatible plugins. There's tons of freebies out there, Tristan. You might need to combine several of those to achieve the effect that you're after. Are you looking for that weird blown-out highlight effect; overexposed, but in a strange way? Here's the Holy Grail for lighting effects; expensive, though.

I don't know if you're using any 3D modeling programs, but you can get some cool effects like you've mentioned using those. Instead of mapping it to a 2D plane, you map it to something with depth, or a heavily-subdivided plane with a displacement map, and then play around with the lighting scheme. Throw in some lens flares and some particle-based fog, and you're there.

Or you could just stick with a Photoshop plugin. <g>

Wow! That mystical lighting thing looks awesome! I think I'm going to start the crusades 2 just to get that thing. Long offensive story short....... I don't have 179 dollars to spend on graphic design.
