cpu usage

hey yall i just have one quick question.is there any way i can lower my cpu usage?.does it have anything to do with my computer?becuase it gets real anoying when im in the zone and my project starts messin up.if anyone one knows anything about how to fix this .it would be greatly appreciated.

    There are a few things you can do:

    - Increase your latency
    - Use less effects (there are ways to use effects efficiently)
    - Set the audio to 16-bit / 44100 Hz in case you have it at higher quality
    - Use GrooveSynth whenever you can. PSYN is more CPU demanding.
    - Render part of a groove as audio and load it back into Kinetic in another track, then mute the original synths.

    What CPU do you have? My 3-year old Athlon XP-M 2400+ copes with Kinetic just fine.

    he probably got a bunch **** on the desktop using up the virtual memory..
    or maybe u got a lot of programs on ur pc and not enough RAM
    i would just delete programs i never use and get rid of desktop shortcuts i really don't need and maybe even a virus check could help
