Sonar vs. Home Studio vs. GT Pro ????
Hey all,
I'm trying to figure out what software to buy... I'm a guitar player, and I want to be able to create drum loops, add bass lines, and record guitar/vocals/solos etc. Maybe add some keyboard as well..but I don't currently own a keyboard.
I have a Tascam US-122 USB preamp for my guitars/microphone, and now all I need is the software. I've pretty much decided to go with a Cakewalk product, but I can't figure out which one would be best for what I want to do. Can anyone tell me why someone would choose to get Sonar 5 Studio over Home Studio XL? Or...when would I want to get GT Pro 3 over Sonar 5 Studio? I'm just really confused about these different products and who they're geared toward.
Also, I definitely want something that lets me create my own custom drum tracks...can I do that with any of these? I know these may be dumb questions but I'm pretty much new to this whole home studio thing.
