S5.01 File export window not showing properly.
When I click File > Export the window that pops up is too large to fit the whole thing on my screen. I can't resize the window either. I see the little windows resize bitmap, but the GUI window size seems to be set to "resize=False" in the code. The problem that I have with this is the fact that the window is cut off at the drop down list that allows me to select the bit resolution, and it appears that it is set by default to something above 16. My screen resolution is set to 1024 by 768 (the higest resolution that my dual monitor setup can handle). Is there a way for me to set the file export default bit resolution to 16 bit at least for now?

Try emailing tech support. and secondly, holy crap those are small screens you've got! are they 15"? I would highly recommend getting bigger screens, Sonar becomes an absolute joy to use on a 1600/1200 screen.

Just tried this on a 1024/768 resolution screen, and I can certainly see the entire export audio dialogue, and i can resize it, although I can make it no smaller than the default size.

I had the same problem -- after I had installed "MultiEnhancer", a hack to enlarge the Windows OpenFile DialogBox from http://www.netcult.ch/elmue/ElmueSoft-en.htm When I backed that out (using its "Restore" function), all was well again in Sonar. Though I must say I do miss having the larger OpenFile window in other apps.

Hey thanks for the input, and testing! First of all...yea I can only afford (2) 15" flat panels, but am hoping that Santa will be good to me this year. They are getting to be about 3 years old now. I also Emailed Tech support, hoprfully something good will come of that as well. I have never installed "MultiEnhancer" or anything like that on my system, so I'm thinkin that can't be the cause. Hummmm.

Hummmm. My advice would be to sell your 15" flats, and buy two 17" or 19" CRTs. seriously!! I build PCs for quite a few people, and I always try and convince them to go CRT, flatscreens are overpriced, under-specced, and to my eyes, flawed. Most importantly though, they are over HYPED! I've built PCs for people who are very seriously into graphics and photo editing, and even THEY want a flatscreen, even though their gamut and contrast simply doesn' compare with a CRT! Sorry, rant over.

Well, This is what I got back from Cakewalk, I have not tried it yet, but thought that I'd post it anyway. Maybe it will help someone else another day. Make sure you are not using Large fonts in your Display settings. The DPI should be set to 96. You should be able to see the entire window at 1024x768. SONAR's recommended display settings are 1280 X 960, 24-bit color or higher. Try downloading and installing the latest driver for your graphics card. As a last resort, use the Tab button to highlight the bit depth, and up arrow (3 times to 16 bit) to toggle through different bit depths.
