Deleting part of track

hey guys i am new to kinetic and my kids ripped most of my manual to shreds (1 and 2 years old...and yes we figured out what causes babies). I am trying to delete half of a loop and i can't figure out how to do it....everytime i mute it or turn the volume down it just doesn't play the sample.....is there a way to kill half of one loop?

    What's up man,
I may need to do the same thing one day, so how are you doing it now. I'm not sure I understand. If you mute the track while you record it, how does it allow you to record half a track? Fill me in Bro.

YFI, there's a copy of the manual in PDF format in the Kinetic CD.

Anyway, if you're talking about an audio loop, you can't just delete a part of it but you can use Volume automation to silence any part of it. Just choose the Draw Automation tool in the Edit Pattern window, select Volume from the automation parameter list and draw the volume curve.
