Strange delay effect during recording

While I am recording in a loop, I hear a kind of doubler effect from time to time. When I stop and continue to play the guitar, the attack seems to be delayed (~10 to 20 msec)
When I restart the engine, it is ok again, sometimes the doubler effect vanishes without restarting the engine.

Does anybody have a similar issue ?

Thanks, Thomas

How are you monitoring your recording? Are you by any chance monitoring the guitar as it is going into the computer and as it is coming out? There will be some latency associated with the version coming out, and that would certainly cause a doubling effect.

I monitor through the computer. I never had problems with that in SX,Tracktion or Abe LIVE.
What I do not understand is that this problem is not permanent.

Turn off the Input Monitor Echo. On the track view, near where the track name is, you'll see a
green box that looks like this: [>>] click on that to disable input monitor echo.

Double click your audio interface for a loop.
