    Freeky,

I'm surprised no one has weighed in yet. Maybe everyone was out late last night.

    Strappin on the headphones.

My general impression of this piece is that you have a good working skeleton that you can continue to build around. I found the beats and melodic ideas interesting. The detuned synth voices you used give off a unique vibe you don't often hear. The mix seemed flat to me. Quiet and mostly in the middle of the spectrum. The drums are way too low in the mix IMO.
I really like the rockin part that kicks in about 2:20. Nice driving beat. Generally nice work Freeky.

Others will be along shortly I'm sure.

Let’s see........I listened to this before and I didn't like the first part, and you repeated it a lot so I kinda shut it off.

Well then you come in with this Arp part. I don't like the sound you used over the top of the arp.

It sounds like you have some chord changes but they are implied and not really flushed out. I don't really like the shaker thing you got going there.

I liked the flute sound you got, but not the little riff you have it playing.

I just think overall you have to concentrate on making music, not just a bunch of riffs put together.

Um the sounds you have for the ending are nice. I'd bring back in the ...umm...theme....ummm....was there a theme?

I have to say i'm not really keen on this one. It sounds very generic and as triscuit says, lacks a theme. The sounds you've used are dragging it down too. You have some great sounds in p5, but it sounds like you've been using a general midi vsti. The production does sound flat and that is'nt really helped by the drums, they sound flabby. Did you compress the drums at all? If you use blockfish then that can tighten the sound up a lot. I too really liked the flute sound, but it's the only sound here i did really like. Sorry to be down on this, just being honest. You've done far better tracks than this in the past that have been really good, but this sounds like a giant step backwards. If i were you i'd go back to some of your best tracks and anylise what you did then and use some of the same techniques for your new ones.

Bonjour! Okay..even my bad ear notices that the mix is very dull. I know I know...you already said that.
At 1:06 we finally get some good synths that stand out. But your melodies arent too catchy and the instruments tend to all blend together. I do like the aquamarinish flute thing.
But the drums are very subdued and...oh.. what bass? I dont hear any bass!

SOunds somewhat like a ZELDA underwater level. LOL
Interesting synths. Just lack of direction. I like the way it ends though.

    lol!

well glad for a positive input here!

lol i think the general gist of it is taht this piece is not really liked here... lol

btw this was a look back at my original style and trying to reproduce it... guess i shouldve said that before!

dont woory theres always room for improvement as i like 2 remember - nothing is perfect.

The mix on this version IS bad, there's no denying that, but this version was done about 2 weeks ago so... yeah... :)

lol i think its time for a random track which is out of the blue :)

expect something a little... different from me next time lol.

btw, i jsut wanted to add that if theres one good thing about this forum, its that you get an HONEST answer!!! lol even if its not a very good one... and ive just noticed that ive gone silver yay
