Problem with Perfect space

Hi guys new here, tried to find my question by search but couldnt so thought I will ask you guys. I am having a problem with perfect space, I make a bus and insert perfect space in it, as soon as I activate the send effect in any of my track, I get 'DROPOUT' message in the status bar and audio stops, strange thing is that I can add perfect space as insert to any track and it works fine. I only run basic services on XP when I run Sonar5 so I think I shouldnt have any CPU/Memory problem, here is my system:

AMD 64 3000+
Asus A8n SLI N4 chip
Windows XP SP2
1 gig RAM
7200rpm HD
Presonus Firebox (WDM)

What are you latency settings? What was CPU loading on your project before you placed PS in the bus? What happens if PS is on the bus and the sends are enabled, then you press "Play"? Some plugins require the audio engine to reset if you insert/delete them and either dropout the audio engine or insert a noticable delay. At least this has been my experience.

Perfect space latency is set to default which is 4098? general latency is 8ms, CPU load was 5-%-6%, what I do is add the PS to the buss then activate the send while playing the track and get the DROPOUT message maybe I will try to activate the send first then hit play and see what happens, will try tonight

guys I tried as I said, I created the bus added the PS, activated the send on one of my track, and then I hit play, I see message "Audio Stopped" in the staus bar, and its not cpu issue cause I created new project with one track only, also I can put PS as insert to the tracks(s) directly no problem, so I think I am missing something, any idea?

I'd still try increasing latency in Sonar's Options/Audio.

I had some trouble tracking live with PS at around 6ms. It had to adjust the latency pretty high (~15-20ms) to get it to behave. The latency here made it too awkward to use for live tracking. When mixing, I just set the latency to something like 30ms and call it a day. You don't notice latency when mixing.

If I really need some verb while tracking I'll just us the Sonitus verb as it is pretty good and doesn't cause me any latency issues.

I increased my latency and volla now it works great and actually my cpu usage was only at 10%, I was running 10 audio tracks and different effects at the same time, I didnt know this trick before, from now on I will increase my latency whenever I mix, Thanx a lot guys!

I like the slider idea if it was on either the console or track view.

It would seem that having a toggle switch with the playback controls allowing you to toggle between a recording (default latency setting when recording from external midi controller) and default latency for pure playback would be of real value.
