sweet sweet gear!

Hey all,

After being busy for a while I got my credit card pair off. So of course it was time to blow some mad cash on music gear!!!

I had enough of trying to shoestring it, and I went all out. I decided on a Korg Kontrol49 controller, a PreSonus Firebox firewire interface, and a pair of Blue Sky Audio MediaDesk 2.1 studio monitors. (ps you must get some of these, they sound awesome)

It took me a week of research and three trips down to Connecticut to totally decide what to buy. But Im really happy with the results. Now I have no excuse not to make tunes. I have like 10 half completed songs but they need polish.

PS mad props to the folks in pro audio at Guitar Center in Manchester... they were really patient and tried to figure out what I really needed even though I wasnt sure myself at first.

    David.
I also bought the Wusik2 Big package but have never been able to get the VST adapter to see it in either in Project 5 or Sonar 5 PE.

I had no problems wqith the previous Wusik versions!

    ArghhhhH!

ERIK - congrats on all your new gear - most of (ME) are super jealous - now no more excuses - go make some music!

hmmmm.... there's a utility on their site that cleans the registry of WS references: you're supposed to uninstall v.1, use the reg cleaner, then install v.2

try that, hopefully it'll work. the utility should be in their downloads section.

    Eric,
Sorry for the slight hi jacking........

    David,

Yup already done - numerous times, plus other programs - such as Registry First Aid, (had it seek out all Wusik entry and zap them too).

I suspect I will be formating my hard drive over these upcoming Christams Holidays so HOPEFULLY that will take care of it....but good Lord, I do not look forward to backing everything up.

Anyway thanks for your suggestion - feel free to throw any other ideas my way that I may not have thought of yet.

    Ok, back to gear lust.

I couldn't resist the reFX Xmas discounts and bought PlastiCZ! and QuadraSID. I'm loving both of them. These synths are quite different from the average VA.

I'm also waiting for my second set of synthesizers.com modules to arrive: 2 oscillators, 1 envelope, 1 noise source, 1 amp, 1 mixer and 1 multiple. Unfortunately, it is possible they will arrive when I'm out for holidays and I won't have a chance to play with them until January :(

Lots of gear. Not enough time.
