about the wavedata..

What is better? To keep my wavedata on my external firewire 7200rpm drive or to move it to my internal 7200rpm drive. I have a laptop. So considering that my page file is on my internal drive (and often is quite big, even i have 1gb of ram) so isn't it better to separate them?

    Hi Kitaro:
Without doubt the external firewire 7200 rpm. I presume your laptop have only one HD, right? So, if you move the wavedata for it the read/write requests for/from the HD will be made one by one. While the OS or a program request/send data for/from the HD, the audio which need to be write/read to/from the HD will wait (miliseconds, of course), but the audio flow need to be constant and so the problems will be appear.
    Only my .2 cents.
    Greetings.
