Total Newbie to MC- Haaalp!

Ok, I just bought myself MC today & am eager to start using it. Man! really kinda confusing.

All I wanna do (for now) is simply plug in my mic & do some simple voice recordings w/ maybe a little music underneath.

But I'm getting some weird error message telling me about MIDI. I don't even own a keyboard. I just wanna record w/ mics, guitars & tack songs/sounds on from my files.

Do I *Have* to have a MIDI keyboard to use this thing??

Thanks greatly for any advice.

Warning:

Not a techie by any means. I'll need to be walked through this like I'm 6...

Simply, nope. MIDI is a computer language for use with synthesized instruments mainly. You don't need it to record audio. Hope this helps.

Oh ok. But man, I swear- the instructions given are so complicated. It assumes a lot about the reader.

1st of all, I don't even see the tutorial folder unless I look under "my computer" in the files. Can't find it in the MC screen.
