can't make this soft Synth to work

hi there,

I just install steinberg Hypersonic soft synth. it works with my acid pro 5 perfectly but in cakewalk homestudio 2004. it can only play a couple of patch. the other majority patchs didn't make any sounds. i don't know if there is any setting in homestudio that I can change to make this works?? I am using radium 49 midi controller.

    You'd be better off to ask the HS forum. Bounce this over there.

    I would think it has to do with your midi channel settings. Every midi track is set to a specific midi channel and has a patch/bank setting. Make sure these are set up correctly. I don't know how Hypersonic works, but if it is multitimbral, the channel/bank/patch settings is where you will change the playback of sounds.

    Also check to see if there are multiple audio outs set up in the synth, and that you have the audio tracks necessary in HS.

    I don't know if this is the case, but I saw a few issues that were solved changing the OS regional/language settings (in my case from Italian to English)

    For me:

    Hypersonic 2.0 doesnt work in Sonar (both 4 and 5) @ all!

    @ the 1st look seems the DXi version of HYpersonic to work well but playing back some midifiles (just for test) i noticed that a lot of drum notes are not played by Sonar!!

    trying to open the VSTi Version - crash in Sonar

    In Cubase no problem


    My solution was - to use DirectiXer as VST-Adapter for Hypersonic AND IT WORKED!
